Lois von der Goltz feels very lucky to have discovered both tai chi chuan and yoga while she was still in her early twenties studying dance in NYC.  It was actually a ballet injury to her knee that first led her to tai chi and she credits it to avoiding surgery.

She went on to receive a Master's degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and became a board certified Mental Health Counselor and spent years in New Orleans and then Miami as a therapist helping people regain balance between their mental, physical and emotional health.

Throughout that time Lois kept involved in both tai chi and yoga, but it wasn't until she arrived in the Triad 19 years ago that she began to seek certifications in both those disciplines as well as in her other love, water aerobics.  She is registered with Yoga Alliance as a teacher at the 500 hour level and certified to teach Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention by Dr. Paul Lamb.  She is also certified in Yang style tai chi and water aerobics.
